Mint receives A+ rating from UNPRI for 2018

Mint Asset Management Limited (Mint) receives A+ rating from UNPRI for Responsible Investment Governance and Strategy for 2018.

This is Mint’s second assessment by the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) since becoming a signatory to the global initiative. A+ is the highest rating achievable for the overall approach taken by Mint’s investment process.

The UNPRI is the global benchmark for how investment managers approach responsible investment. This assessment recognises Mint’s incorporation of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factor scores for individual companies, which are selected for Mint’s portfolios managed on behalf of both retail and institutional clients.

In the assessment report for 2018, ratings are given across a range of asset classes with Mint scoring ratings of A to A+ (on a scale of E to A+) for listed Equities, compared to peers on a local and global level.

Mint’s ESG fund the ‘Mint New Zealand SRI Equity Fund’ is available to wholesale investors and utilises the investment philosophy and process reviewed by the UNPRI.
